The Search
Freya Pearls started with her founders' search for a pearl necklace in July 2021.
We came across many shops and stores with pearls in Australia, but few were specialised only in pearls and none had the aesthetics and value that we were looking for.
Natural Beauty
Pearls are produced by nature. Even with cultivation, it is still the mollusc itself that creates the pearl, often over a period of years.
Pristine water is essential to producing an exceptional pearl. Australia’s northern coastline offers a rare marine environment where they can develop their extraordinary quality and lustre. Some of the world’s finest pearls owe their beauty to Australian waters.

An Australian South Sea pearl spends years submerged in the pristine waters of remote far northern Australia, growing millimetres at a time inside the oyster. They are delicate, yet they tell a journey of strength and perseverance.
